Effective Date: 6/1/2021

Williams Chicken, Inc. (collectively, “Williams Chicken,” “we,” or “us”) operates the franchise.williamschicken.com website (the “Website”) and other online services, tools, and programs that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Williams Chicken Online Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share the information you provide when you visit or use the Williams Chicken Online Services. It also explains how you can get information or ask questions about this Privacy Policy.

Williams Chicken operates a restaurant system that includes both company-owned and franchisee-operated locations. Our franchisees (“Franchisees”) are independent contractors who own their restaurants and may have different privacy practices. This Privacy Policy does not apply to Franchisee-owned websites, social media pages, or other online services (collectively, the “Franchisee Services”). Any questions about a Franchisee’s services should be directed to the respective Franchisee, as Williams Chicken is not responsible for their privacy practices.

By using the Williams Chicken Online Services, you accept the terms of this Privacy Policy regarding how we collect, use, and share your personal information. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of the WilliamsChicken Online Services.

Personal Information We Collect and How We Use It

Personal Information” refers to details that can be used to identify or contact an individual. Williams Chicken may collect Personal Information such as your first and last name, mailing address, email address, and phone number when you provide it through our online services. This information enables us to deliver the products, services, features, and functionality you request and to communicate with you about them. For instance, we may use this information—along with any details you voluntarily provide about your visits to Williams Chicken locations—to inform you about upcoming promotions, special offers, and events. Additionally, your Personal Information may be collected when you join the Williams Chicken E-Club, provide feedback, enter a sweepstakes or contest, or reach out through our “Contact Us” form.

Our online services may also include links to third-party websites or services not operated by Williams Chicken, including suppliers and service providers that facilitate online orders, payments, or merchandise purchases. These third-party services may collect information about your experiences at Williams Chicken, feedback, or other input—potentially on an anonymous basis. Any information you provide through a third-party service is subject to that provider’s privacy policy and terms of use. Williams Chicken does not assume responsibility for the actions, privacy policies, or data security practices of third-party services. It is your responsibility to review their policies before engaging with them. Any issues related to these services should be addressed directly with the respective third-party provider.

If you inquire about franchise or employment opportunities through our website, additional Personal Information may be collected. Prospective franchisees may be asked to provide details such as their full name (current and previous), mailing address, phone number, email, and professional background. We may also request business references and prior supervisor contact information. If a franchise applicant provides third-party contact details, they confirm that they have permission to share this information with Williams Chicken. Information collected from prospective franchisees is solely used to assess qualifications and experience; submission of a franchise application does not establish a franchise relationship with Williams Chicken.

Prospective employees can register on our website to receive job alerts. We may collect Personal Information such as name, email, and location (city, state, or zip code) to send these notifications. Applicants may also choose to upload a resume when joining our Talent Network, which could include additional Personal Information. Please note that joining the Talent Network does not constitute an official job application. To apply for a specific position, applicants must submit their applications through the applicable third-party service contracted by Williams Chicken. Any job-related Personal Information provided through a third-party application process is subject to the third party’s privacy policy. However, Williams Chicken will receive certain applicant details, including name, mailing address, email, phone number, driver’s license number, and professional background (such as past employers, job titles, education, and references, if provided). If a resume is submitted, any additional Personal Information included in the document will be accessible to Williams Chicken and relevant franchise owners, but only for locations where the applicant applies. This information is used solely to assess experience and qualifications for employment opportunities.

Williams Chicken may also collect Personal Information when you engage with activities we sponsor on social media platforms such as Facebook®, Instagram®, or Twitter®. Each of these platforms operates under its own privacy policy and terms of service, which are not governed by Williams Chicken. It is your responsibility to review and comply with the policies of any social media platform you use. Any concerns regarding a social media platform should be directed to its respective provider, not Williams Chicken.

Additionally, we may combine Personal Information with demographic data such as age, birthday, gender, and interests to personalize our services and offers. You may always choose not to provide certain information and opt out of receiving promotional messages. When combined with other data, if the full dataset can identify you, we will treat it as Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
